Key point 3: Economic

Lastly, we will be using the two sources we used for key point 1, lifestyle, ancient chinese coins and blue and white porcelain. However we will be talking about how this two sources supports the key point of economic. The blue and white porcelain has very beautiful paintings and curved nicely, this shows that since it is handmade, it must have costs a lot. Thus, since the people in Singapore before 1819 could afford, it proves that life was prosperous. Next, the ancient chinese coins were used for trading which happened in Singapore and that showed there was economic connection. This concludes the end of our product of the HI project. Key point 2 cultural

Next, we will be talking about spice gardens. Spice gardens have many different types of spices brought from other countries. Locals might have used different cultures to cook the spices. Some examples are, Cinnamon is one of the world’s oldest-known spices and is regarded to have healing properties by many cultures. Cloves can be used in cooking either whole or in a ground form, but as they are extremely strong they are used sparingly. Cloves are also an important incense material in Chinese and Japanese culture. Clove essential oil is used in aromatherapy and oil of cloves is widely used to treat toothache in dental emergencies. Cloves have historically been used in Indian cuisine (both North Indian and South Indian). Cloves are ingredients in many classic spice mixtures.

This key point has two sources, ancient chinese coins and blue and white porcelain. Firstly, this is how the ancient chinese coins supports the key point  lifestyle. The artefacts shows that chinese people were rich and wealthy in the past as they being able to trade for goods, thus having a luxurious life. Secondly, this is how the blue and white porcelain supports the key point. There were skilled craftmen who created beautiful blue and white porcelain , showing that they were disciplined in their daily work and patience and skill is key to draw such a beautiful and intricate designs. Thus, this two source supports the key point of lifestyle.
